Romans 8:18

If you are not Catholic, the title is a bible verse. I'm going to be straight here and tell you I am not going to refrain from quoting the Bible, as some people may not like it etc, although this might be the only post referencing the Bible (but don't hold me to that) just simply don't read anymore..

As mentioned in my first post, I am not the most religious person you'll ever know but there is belief and there are some Bible passages that I strongly hold on to, for example Romans 8:18

I just want to share a very special quote to anyone who needs it right now, because although we know there isn't much we can do at the time, we can only hold onto hope.

Here is the exact passage, source: website

Present Suffering and Future Glory |
18: I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be
revealed in us.

I believe this is a truly beautiful message, just like another quote which simplifies on another level; this too shall pass.

The pain that we are currently feeling is nothing compared to what joy is about to come. Our pain is not what defines us, it's what we do about it, it's how we react and what we make of it. God has a better plan for me and for you, and as long as you have hope, you'll always have a starting point.

I'm not a religious girl, but I can appreciate the messages behind some versus. I think it's important to realize there will be goodness despite our sufferings. It's a good message. 😊

I am not a religious girl but I go by some of the bible's messages. Few quotes can be taken as life lesson or as motivational. This one can be read in so many ways. Suffering here can be mental, physical, failure, etc. Could it be read as "no rain no flowers" or after a bad time always come better times? xx Corinne

I totally agree that many quotes in the bible really hold true to many of us, and are intended well. I'm not religious but I appreciate some of the teachings, this quote I certainly appreciate. It is true though, whatever issues you face now, will seem small to the greatness you'll eventually have - that's always different for different people but still holds true :) xx
